I'm sorry for low quality and incomplete CAD model; I participated in this challenge so late that I didn't able to develop completely my study, I hope it is adequate for the concept to be understood.My Lunar Torch is composed of three elements: a rover with six independent traction wheels completely individually orientable, a rotating and tilt able structure that permit to direct light beam reflected by heliostat and the heliostat realized by a mirror film that unfolded by means inflatable structure.The heliostat structure is composed from a central body and seven cylindrical inflatable chambers every side.Every inflatable chamber is hinged at the previous and following chamber forming a kind of chain.The mirror film, passing through special structures of the intermediate chambers, is connected to the last inflatable chamber, in opposition at the mirror film there is a similar system of tie rods.With the inflatable chambers deflated and the mirror film and the tie rods wrapped the heliostat is closed and its size are slightly higher than the central body.Inflating all chambers, the mirror film and the tie rods unfold and this way the heliostat is deployed.By varying the tension of the mirror film and of the tie rods it is possible to change the curve of the heliostat from flat to concave to convex thus changing its focus, in this way it is possible to concentrate or diffuse the reflected light of the sun in one area.
