Lunar soil sampler

In this NASA lunar sampling challenge entry, examine the provided PDFs for a detailed explanation of our system. Featuring an articulated arm resembling that on Mars' Opportunity rover, our double scoop collects and filters soil samples per specifications (10-20mm pebbles, <10mm pebbles/soil). Ground control directs operations, with samples either discarded or stored in layers based on approval. Our design also enables shallow trenches for accessing lower lunar soil layers. ### Response: My NASA lunar sampling challenge entry showcases a system described in detail through the submitted PDF files. The double scoop, resembling an arm used on Mars' Opportunity rover, is attached to an articulated arm and collects samples under ground control direction. Soil samples are filtered according to specifications (pebbles between 10-20mm and pebbles/soil with diameter less than 10mm), stored in layers based on approval, and can be used to create trenches up to 10cm deep for accessing lower lunar soil levels.
