
Lunar Sampling Unit

The lunar sampling device I developed in Solidworks 2018 features an angled cylinder that accommodates an auger linked to a mini DC motor, enabling rotation with two degrees of freedom for obstacle clearance. The auger gathers both solid and loose specimens, depositing them into the main cylinder. Navigation is facilitated by a small motor driving the front wheels forward or backward, while separate motors control steering for the rear wheel. Remote control operation is possible via a housing on top of the body, and cameras can be mounted in various positions for enhanced functionality. The lightweight design ensures ease of maneuverability to collect proper samples.
