The original lunar model had an extremely low relief, boasting several large "false craters" that were direct byproducts of its creation process, and was a solid sphere not at all suitable for printing. I've uploaded two STL files: one is the original model, but with some key modifications - it's been cut in half, hollowed out, and had those pesky artifacts fixed. The other file is a completely new model that I created from scratch using a relief image of the moon's surface and Blender, boasting significantly increased feature depth so that the craters on the moon's surface are much more pronounced after printing. A photo shows a comparison between these two models. Please note that you will need to file down the edges just a bit to get it to fit snugly into its base.
