My name is Joaquin Vidoret, I am a mechanical engineering student at the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Engineering and Surveying (FCEIA) of the National University of Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina (UNR): https://web.fceia.unr.edu.ar/es/This is a practical work for the subject M-25 Synthesis of Mechanisms and Machines, directed by Professor Marcelo Valderrey, and corresponds to the edition of this subject taken during the first quarter of 2024.It is a work based on the results of NASA CHALLENGE, (https://grabcad.com/challenges/nasa-challenge-lunar-gateway-cargo-packing-and-storing) for which I formally give credit to all its participants and explain, in the attached file, the use that I have given to their ideas and models during a practice of "Convergent Divergent Creative Postprocessing" that is part of the design method that I study in this subject. This design is based on Preston Wang's idea: Lunar Gateway Sliding Shelves ConceptThe modification made with respect to the original alternative includes a reorganization of the larger loads on the fixed supports, welded to the capsule and the independence of the drive of the mobile frames by motors, increasing the reliability of the system by becoming a manual task by the astronaut.Mechanism operation:The module has 8 aluminum frames, fixed to the internal wall of the capsule, providing large storage capacity. In the central part there are 16 sliding trays on rails, manually operated, which are secured during launch with bolts.Loads are secured using reinforced polymer straps. The central aisle allows comfortable and quick access to all loads by the occupants.
