The 5 Key Design Considerations (Democratic Design):Function: This product is a universal phone holder that encourages people to keep their phone at a distance when sleeping. Unlike any other phone holder it can connect to your phone allowing it to play music or alarms with it’s speakers, it can charge your phone wirelessly or through a cord, and it can sync with your phone through our app to use it as a clock.Form: Most people who own a cellphone today uses it as their clock. So instead of designing a smart clock with the same capabilities of a phone I’ve decided to incorporate the phone into the design. By incorporating the phone I had to make sure that the part that hold part that holds the phone is universal. Ideally the product will be placed in the bedroom so it could not be too bulky where it takes up too much space from the nightstand or desk. And with productivity in mind it has to be simple so it will be easier to assemble and produce with the least amount of time.Sustainability: The majority of the product is made with oak wood . Wood is renewable, recyclable, and biodegradable. Oak is a strong and stable wood so this product is durable and has a long life span.Quality: Oak wood is strong and durable so you don’t have to worry about the product breaking so easily. Wood also has a certain beauty to it that is quite charming. Low Price: The product is reasonably price for quality and feature it comes with. The upside is due to the form and the quality of the product is universal and long lasting therefore it will pay itself eventually.
