These are detailed models of individual human lumbar vertebrae (L1-L5) and sacrum based on 3D renderings available in the bodyparts3d database online. To prepare them for printing, simply cut each model in half along its flat edge, making sure the side with the flat surface faces down during setup, then print both sides separately and glue them together for a professional finish. I'm extremely pleased with how these prints turn out, thanks to excellent 3D models made by experienced designers. The photographs show L1 vertebrae and the entire assembled model combining L1 sacrum at full size. Note that they don't appear closed in thingiverse preview images, but rest assured, each segment is designed with complete interior closure. This content was made available under bodyparts3d's share-alike creative commons license(http://lifesciencedb.jp/bp3d/?lng=en) online platform. Credit should be given to Cbonsig for discovering this invaluable database and generously offering another highly detailed 3D printed lumbar spine model version for our benefit.
