Lumbar vertebra from a deer
myminifactory
This is a lumbar vertebra from a deer scanned with a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner at the Virtual Curation Laboratory. The vertebra was on loan from the Fort Lee Regional Archaeological Curation Facility (RACF) to support development of a digital zooarchaeological type collection and replication for research, outreach, and teaching purposes. Note that scanning software closed the vertebral foramen, requiring digital editing to open it.
