LulzBot Wiper Pad Cutting Jig

LulzBot Wiper Pad Cutting Jig

Have you ever wanted to replace the wiper pad on your LulzBot, then gone to their website only to be utterly gob smacked by the insane price for replacements? I was, so I created a solution, and I was able to make over 60 wipers for a little less then buying 5 from LulzBot. For this project you will need the following non-printable supplies: * [2 Box cutter blades](https://www.mcmaster.com/5237a31) * [6 M3 X 5 Screws](https://www.mcmaster.com/92000A114/) You can use up to a 10mm long screw if you already have some. * [1in X 1/4in Synthetic Felt](https://www.mcmaster.com/88085K311/) (Buy a 10 foot length) You may need to resize the parts slightly to accommodate differences in printers and the tolerances of the felt. The felt should slip into the jigs with just enough resistance to keep it from falling out, but not so much that it's difficult to insert or remove. Print one of each part, then screw a box cutter blade (clean them off with some alcohol or acetone first) into each of the blade holders. Then take your 10 foot length of felt and use the length cutting jig to cut pieces out. Next, place the pieces into the slicing jig and use the slicer to cut them in half lengthwise. I suggest using some kind of cutting mat and cutting towards a table. ***I'm working on Version 2 which will combine the tools so there are fewer parts to print.***
