Lulzbot Taz X Belt Tensioning System
thingiverse
To enhance the Taz printer's X and Y axes tensioning system, I devised an efficient design that allows for easy adjustments. This requires 9x 3.8mm M3x0.5mm heatset inserts, 8x 10mm M3 button head cap screws, a 60mm M3 socket head cap screw, and 5x M3 washers. To adjust the tension, remove the extruder mount and loosen the 4 slider-holding screws before adjusting with the 60mm screw. Tighten everything back in place once satisfied. For enhanced cable management, modify the X Carriage to include an adjustment slot and use two top clips identical to the filament guide pieces. Print extra tube holders for zip-tying to the cable assembly. Print at high (90-95%) infill using ABS at a 0.20mm layer height with 1 perimeter, 4 top and bottom shells, and 95% infill.
