LulzBot TAZ Tray and Belt Guard

LulzBot TAZ Tray and Belt Guard

thingiverse

Originally designed to utilize wasted space under Y-Rails as a scrap tray instead of placing a trash can nearby, this project proved to be a game-changer. All the tools included with my Taz6 fit perfectly inside, making it a convenient and organized workspace. The belt guard was engineered specifically for this purpose, ensuring that scraps don't get entangled in the Y-Axis belts, even in the event of an ugly print crash. Although a crashed part might still potentially fall through, the belt guard would significantly reduce the likelihood of this happening. Designed using hacked OpenScad models - the source code is attached for reference. The curve on the front face of the tray was approximated to add a touch of aesthetics to the design.
