Lulzbot TAZ stiffened X motor and bearing mounts
thingiverse
Enhance your Lulzbot TAZ printer by upgrading its X Rod mount pieces, as depicted in green within the image above. The original TAZ had flexible stock components, especially when increasing x belt tension. These new parts offer more rigidity and eliminate unnecessary holes. They might also assist with a slipping X belt, although no guarantees are provided. Updated files were released on June 23rd and June 24th, correcting Y-axis misalignment of the Z nut mounting holes. To implement these improvements, print the parts, use a soldering iron and insertion tip to install the threaded nuts, and replace the weaker default components with the upgraded ones. You may need to ream the 10mm hole for rod installation as well.
