The major variation lies in the size of the holes for the fan itself, which are deliberately crafted to accommodate a standard Tap (3mm x 0.50) allowing stock screws to be utilized without requiring additional fittings. Although not as robust as press insert nuts, these smaller holes provide enough rigidity to secure the fan in place adequately. It's worth noting that individuals possessing a Taz5 or its new equivalent, Hexagon Metal hot end for the Taz4 model, do not require this modified fan duct since they possess an additional fan designed specifically to cool their respective hot ends directly.
