Lulzbot Taz Enclosure LCD + Raspberry Pi + Camera
thingiverse
This is a modified version of the Lulzbot Taz LCD + Raspberry Pi Case by Scuttlebot. The design now allows for a camera to be mounted on the side, adjustable with The Popcorn Joint - Simple Ball & Socket Joint for PLA by Wonderbot. It has been successfully tested with a Raspberry Pi 3 running Octoprint (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwsxO3ksxm4). The lid, enclosure, and camera holder were reverse engineered with Inventor (.ipt) to enable modifications. The Popcorn Joint can be printed as is, so no .ipt files are offered. The enclosure is well ventilated and provides sufficient holes for connections. It is longer than the original to allow for powering the Pi with microUSB. Printing with supports (for the ball joint) is recommended. Holes can be self-tapped with regular screws, but it's recommended to coat screw with lubrication and tap from behind when possible. The lid has the Colorado flag on it (pictured with white out highlighting this feature). This design is removable in the .ipt file. No supports are required for printing. The camera holder was modified to match The Popcorn Joint. Printing with supports is recommended. The cable that comes with the camera can be a bit short; longer flex cables to connect the camera can be handy and are inexpensive from Adafruit. All parts were printed with ABS, using normal settings. Modeling and printing may be purchased. See optogenetic.ucdenver.edu for more information.
