Lulzbot TAZ 6 chamber vents
thingiverse
I built a climate-controlled enclosure for my Lulzbot TAZ 6, but I was always worried that the electronics were being compromised by the warm air limiting their cooling capabilities. The TAZ 6 comes equipped with a high-performance fan and strategically placed air intake and exhaust grilles. These are precision-crafted vent ducts designed to attach securely using 1-inch wide VHB foam tape (I prefer the 0.025-in thick variety). They expertly draw in outside air to cool the electronics, while simultaneously venting the exhaust out of the chamber. Now that I'm confident in my setup, I feel comfortable increasing the temperature of the enclosure. Currently, I run at a moderate 100F (38C), and have a compact fan, heater, and precise temperature controller at my disposal.
