Lulzbot Taz 3, Z Axis Stop Bumper
thingiverse
We've increased our office equipment by acquiring a Lulzbot Taz 3 3D printer. The hardware has impressed me so far, but an issue with the Z-axis adjustment has arisen - the limit switch occasionally misses the Z-axis stop screw. A simple solution is to add a small bumper at the end of the screw. You might need to customize the size based on the shrinkage during printing. Alternatively, using a #33 drill can open up the body for a snug fit. Remember, attach the added part to the lower end of the screw. To resolve this issue, print the bumper using the provided SCAD file or resize the STL as needed. Increase the inner diameter of the part's body with a #33 screw (or choose an appropriate size). Screw the part onto the end of the Z-stop and adjust your printer accordingly.
