Lulzbot Mini lower z left camellia - lid design

thingiverse

This is a custom version of the original Lulzbot Mini lower z camellia. Design is made up of two parts. The bottom part needs to be assembled once and then it's done. The lid attaches to the bottom part using bolts, making it simple to remove for good access to the shaft coupler and stepper motor when doing maintenance. I initially used the v1.1 camellia in my printer. The problem was that if the stepper motor or the shaft coupler needed to be replaced, it required a lot of disassembly of the printer to get proper access to the area. So once I finally got my camellia out, I decided not to put a similar new one in place. I then checked out the v1.6 model which gives better access but I felt it was not good enough considering how difficult it would be to replace it if someday that turned out necessary. It looked less rigid than the original design due to an open front and the design was fixed with two bolts (for a damped stepper motor). I don't have dampers, so the design wasn't suitable for me without modification. I then decided to create this design for easy maintenance. You will need 3 pcs M4 insert nuts to use the model. Check the picture for reference.
