Lulu's Apple box
thingiverse
I'm displaying my Apple box here. Designed with Solidworks, not a rounded apple at all, it's quite like the real thing, though not perfect. The cover only fits in one position so the box can close properly. Printed the various parts in color using my CR10 stock printer with Arianeplast filaments - their Apple green is fantastic and worked well for the two half bodies, while the marron filament was great for the top. The lower part had to be printed on the bed first, then the top one with the junction on the bed. The other parts needed to be rotated in the slicer as well. A bit of sanding is necessary to get a smooth surface. Glue the joint index on the upper part and ensure it fits snugly with the lower part, but be careful since the joint is quite long. Just sand until they fit together without any gaps. I hope you enjoy this print; it's sitting on my desk right next to the banana.
