Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber

Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber

Lukes Lightsaber with green laser housing I crafted this Fathersday present myself, but it's not an exact replica of the real thing. To make it work with a laser pointer, I had to modify a few parts. The piece above the trigger has one less rib because the button on the laser is in that spot. The third piece from the top now has an angled edge instead of a straight one to make printing easier and reduce part counts. Lastly, I flipped the trigger for a left-handed version. You can get the laser pointer I used at this link: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07ZFZJ5Y9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It's available from various distributors, and I've included a picture of what it looks like. All the parts need to be sanded or filed for a snug fit. The cavity for the laser is a bit too large, so I used hockey tape to shim it out. To make the laser button fit into the trigger slide channel, I squared it with an exact knife. For the loop at the base, I used a chunk of coat hanger wire. If you want to swing your lightsaber around freely, I recommend drilling and installing three small screws to keep the body together.
