Luke's Lightsaber

Luke's Lightsaber

thingiverse

This is an offshoot of Luke's (or Obi Wan's) lightsaber. The handgrip unscrews from the hilt to unveil a chamber to install a mini Arduino board and batteries for electronics (or you can store money or candy or small trinkets). I'm also an in-the-closet smoker so I'm including a modified lower hilt that fits two cigarettes and a mini lighter in case anyone wants to use it as an emergency stash at work like I do. The lightsaber is sectioned to be printed separately, glued together, and painted for a personalized look. Once together, the saber incorporates a slot to accommodate any necessary wiring/LED through to the emitter. There are two activation plate housing stl files: one is hollow to allow for the install of two mini 3x1.5mm PCB pushbutton switches, "AP Housing (Arduino).stl"; the other is solid, "AP Housing (solid).stl" for those that just want the saber. The photo is a solid version of the print with the cigs hidden in the hilt (my first attempt). My next attempt will be an arduino-powered electronic version, but if anyone builds one first --or any version of these files-- I'd love to see it! Enjoy!
