Lugia -Removable Parts
thingiverse
My first, ever model for Thingiverse is here - Lugia! The Generation II Legendary Pokémon is now ready for download and printing. This model is carefully sectioned off into distinct parts based on their placement within the body: 2 hands, 2 feet, tail, and head. Each of these sections features movable joints that allow for flexibility in the legs, tail, and head. At present, however, the arms are represented as non-movable rectangle slots, although I plan to revise them to include movable parts. A quick heads-up: this model can be a bit tricky, particularly when it comes to printing the legs. To ensure success with all the parts, please make sure the scale is consistent throughout the entire model. You can find an example of how to set up the scale in the screenshot provided (prntscr.com/diaqry). This image showcases how to configure Cura, but you should be able to adapt this approach for most 3D slicing software. If you'd like to remix or edit my original design, feel free to reach out and ask. I'll provide either Maya files or an FBX file that includes all the necessary parts for remixing. Please note that as of January 6th, 2016, I've made adjustments to the legs to create a more stable surface, allowing Lugia to stand upright with greater ease.
