luggage tag and fix
thingiverse
To make some sturdy luggage clips, I designed them myself using a cool online tool called http://thinkandhave.de/personalizer/. These clips have an open metal loop that can be locked in place with a tiny screw (specifically, one made of m3 material that's 12mm long). One of the best things about this design is that it can easily be adjusted to accommodate different-sized loops - all you need to do is tweak a single variable. I've used two different loop sizes: 20mm for the luggage tags and 40mm for the suitcase handles. Now, here's how to make these clips in three easy steps: First, fire up OpenSCAD and load up the design file - you can also take this chance to customize the loop size if you need to. Once that's done, it's time to render everything out and save it as a 3D model (specifically an STL file). If you want both the small and large clips printed together in one go, simply print the '2clips.stl' file instead - it already includes both sizes. Now all you need are some screws: I highly recommend using m3 material that's around 12mm long. If your screw is longer, don't worry, it will still work just fine!
