Lufkin 4 in Measuring Wheel - Replacement Wheel
thingiverse
I use a Lufkin 4" measuring tape wheel periodically for work and recently, one of the wheels suddenly broke clean off. A couple of measurements later, some time in TinkerCAD, and then a few hours on the printer, I now have a brand new wheel. I decided to split the wheel into two pieces for printing and connected them via PVC glue. This was done to eliminate the need for supports so all flat printing could be face down. The new wheel is stronger than the old one. I used ABS filament at 20% fill with honeycomb. A couple of strokes with a round file at the hub connecting points, and it slid right onto the axle. Print Settings Printer: Prusa Mk2 i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .20mm Infill: 20% Notes: Prusa Mk2 i3 Printer. I used AquaNet to keep the prints stuck to the surface.
