The Galatian Suicide, also known as the Ludovisi Gaul, is an ancient Roman marble statue group that portrays a cape-clad Gallic warrior in mid-suicide attempt with a sword while supporting his dying wife's body. It is widely accepted that these Roman marbles are replicas of Hellenistic Greek bronzes, which honored the victories over the Gauls of Galatia during the 200s BCE. This sculpture group was first documented in the 1623 inventory of the Ludovisi family, who likely discovered it on their estate in Rome. The Ludovisi Gaul is now housed alongside numerous other sculptures from the Ludovisi collection at the Palazzo Altemps museum in Rome, Italy. A three-dimensional print of the Galatian Suicide:
