Lucky 7's USB and Memory Card Holder
thingiverse
I was on a mission to find a unique Memory Card Holder design and it seemed like there were hardly any creative examples, so I used this as an opportunity to hone my skills in 123D Design. The Cards and USB devices fit snugly inside, arranged in a 7pc Radial Pattern with random intersections. This holder can accommodate 7 USB devices, 7 SD cards, and 7 Micro SD cards. Print Settings: Printer: M3D Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: Low Infill: Low Notes: The photo shows a quick low-res print because I was experiencing issues with parts sticking to my bed. I was experimenting with different settings. My base raft kept separating from the part, so I eliminated it as recommended for large prints on the M3D. I also used their wave-bonding feature. How I Designed This: I created a hemisphere and built boxes roughly 0.2mm larger than card dimensions found online. With the Boxes, I generated a radial pattern of 7 pieces with partial insertions and intersections. To avoid intersecting any slots, I repeated this process for each size. Finally, I added cylinders to create details around the base.
