Lucina / Chrom Sword
thingiverse
I tweaked a few aspects of the falchion to suit my tastes. The sword draws inspiration from images in the Knights of Iris book and various online depictions. To print this massive 40-inch sword, I divided the design into two equal halves along its horizontal plane, then segmented it length-wise into three parts to accommodate my 16-inch wide bed. At each juncture, I carefully crafted V-grooves in the STL file, ensuring that when I fuse the PLA segments together using heat-welding and soldering techniques, they would enjoy maximum strength and stability. This method proved successful for my Ike sword, which I also printed with great results. I welcome constructive feedback on how to improve this design, but ultimately, I may choose to stick with my original vision.
