This type of lantern features curved lines that follow the spout, marking a transition from previous examples with volutes. It corresponds to Type IV D of Cartago lanterns. Wide borders are angled towards the exterior of the container, sometimes decorated with printed ovals. It is an extremely rare and late form in relation to Augustus period types. This specimen has a concave disk bounded by a ring and features a relief decoration of a grasshopper apparently devouring an insect at its center. The base is flat, circular, and limited by a groove.
