Check it out here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2709655 This clip securely holds a Sharpie and a pencil, making it a must-have for anyone who needs to jot down notes on the go. After seeing other Sharpie clips online, I decided to create my own version with a hard hat clip that's easy to use in the field. Printing with supports was a challenge, but they came out great once cleaned off. I experimented with various infill percentages and printed around 60 prototypes, but some of them snapped easily. I suspect it's due to over-exertion when removing the clip from my hard hat. Only two broke, both times caused by my hard hat falling and landing on an empty Sharpie ring. After using this design for a few months, I noticed that the holes started to stretch from constant Sharpie usage. Additionally, the clip catches everything in ceilings, including pin rods, wires, AC lines, and even rats! To address these issues, I'm working on an updated version of the Sharpie clip, which will be two-part and customizable. It'll reside under your hard hat instead of on top, making it more secure and convenient to use.
