A meticulously detailed high definition model of the standard LST landing transport ship is now available. High resolution LCVP and 2.5 ton truck props are included in the package. The boat boasts an impressive 75048 polygons, while each truck consists of 2241 polygons and each LCVP has 730 polygons. Textures The major ship texture is expertly UV mapped at 2048x2048, with other components varying in complexity. For those who prefer to edit textures themselves, they are provided as optional downloads in Photoshop format. History The tank landing ship was designed during World War II specifically to support amphibious operations by transporting substantial quantities of vehicles, cargo, and troops directly onto an unprepared shore. Over a thousand of these ships were constructed in the United States alone during WWII. Eighty more were built in UK and Canada with a modified design, earning them the name LST.
