The gear knob has been designed to fit the original T56 6 speed manual gearbox that is know to go behind the LS1 V8 motor. I have printed it in PLA and it fared well. I will try to print it in ABS next test. (awating on filament). The top of the piston has been domed to for better comfort. I would recommend painting the gearknob in plasti-dip as it makes it feel smoother.
