I came up with designing this because I was doing my first, and most likely only, engine build and wanted to Verify my timing. The nicer adjustable degree wheels like this are way more convenient but can run upwards of $300 and that's a lot for something I will probably only use once. This particular one was designed with an LS in mind. The pointer bracket bolts directly to the Coolant Inlet mounting on the drivers side of the engine. Each one of the knobs Will loosen to adjust the degree wheel and tighten enough to lock the inner and outer wheel together. +++++++++ BE SURE THAT YOUR PRINTER IS FULLY CALIBRATED AND HAS VERY GOOD DIMENSIONAL ACCURACY. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS OR DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR ENGINE BY USING THIS DESIGN AND YOU ARE DOING SO AT YOUR OWN RISK +++++++++++ PRINTED PARTS: Pointer X 1 Pointer Bracket X 1 Inner Wheel X 1 Outer Wheel X 1 Knobs X 4 Dial Indication To Camera Mount Adapter X 1 HARDWARE: Qty 4: 5mm x 20mm Button Head screws Qty 4: 5mm Nuts Qty 8: 5mm Washers -Drop a nut into each knob opening and jiggle until you can line the nut on the screw. - Quickly spin the knob until the screw and Nut start to tighten. (Optional): Drop a dab of super glue in the knob top opening between the nut outside and inner knob wall to glue nut in place. Do not place a washer on the backside of the inner wheel where the button meets it. This will cause the screw too spin rather that bite when tightening. Follow these directions and you shouldn't Have Any Slippage. -When installing the pointer bracket use 2 bolts for your Oil pump.. They fit! -When operating the wheel i snug the dampener bolt as snug as i can and use a socket and breaker bar for rotation. If the bolt it tight enough it shouldn't slip. And remember.. Print The Dream!
