<p>After seeing Nero use a LRS 24v power supply to run his TS100 soldering iron, I knew I wanted to the same setup in order to have one power supply that could run my soldering iron and fume extractor. Since it would utilize XT60 receptacles, I could easily use it for other 24v needs down the road.</p><p>A quick search on Thingiverse and there’s no shortage of click-and-print options out there, but as always, I had a few tweaks I had in mind, so to Fusion we went. One thing in particular I wanted was surface mounted XT60 connectors. The first reason for this was that I did not want to use a two piece design which would have been needed to use the flush fit style connectors. Second reason being that I liked the aesthetics of raised XT60 mounts being flush with that of the C14 receptacle.</p><p>From a design standpoint, I want this to be a snap on style accessory with no needs for fasteners to the actual power supply. I’m prepared for this to a hurdle in terms of getting the clearances just right.
