LRI Probe: A sudo angle of attack indicator for aircraft. These tools have skyrocketed in price lately. Ports come sized for 1/16 NPT but must be threaded. Use 1/16 NPT to 3/16 nylon hose barbs and Teflon tape to seal the threads tight. For display use a 2 1/4" low speed, 0-80 mph Falcon airspeed indicator that really performs. To calibrate it use a U-shaped plastic tube as a manometer to find the reading in inches of water column precisely. Fill the bottom of the "U" with water and attach the tube to the "Pitot" input carefully. Adjust the tube so there is a 1/2", 1", 1.5", etc. difference in the water on each side of the "U" and note the needle location exactly. Tap gently on the indicator until the needle settles out. The front glass may be removed with a 1/32" steel sheet cut to width easily. Cover the airspeed numbers with black Testors paint perfectly. Use white, red, green, and yellow Testors paint to color the LRI gauge accurately. Works flawlessly.
