As it turned out, a broken clip is a fairly common problem when the glove compartment is not removed correctly. I tried to glue it, but it didn’t last long at all, as a result, it was decided to make a new clip in the form of an overlay on the damper. The new clip sits pretty well in place, it may take a bit of force to click into place, and there is also a half-ring lock for extra fixation. Clip breakage is a very individual situation, so in your case you may need a slight adjustment of the damper or my part, but I think that this will not cause problems.
