LR 2.5 3D printer

LR 2.5 is the evolved LabRat 3D Printer. Printing volume 180 x 180 x 180 mm3. In this new configuration, quality and speed of printing have increased over LR. I have printed at 0.05 layer height (Marvin), at 150mm/s (box lid) and Benchy at 100mm/s. All components from LR were used except for two 2x150 profiles. The printer was extended to an I3 configuration. Three iterations were made: A. Y carriage from LR, single 2020 V slot profile; B. Y axis 2040 or 2x2020 V-slot, Y carriage with three wheels; C. Y axis 2040 V-slot profile and Y carriage with bed support, four wheels. The Remix of Tevo Tarantula Bed Support_V2 was used. Also, the Y motor mount was modified, and a new X carriage with wheel spacers and belt holders integrated and wheel tensioner with eccentric was added. The same 180x180 bed from LR printer was used. Extruder Pitan and hotend V5 clone were also used. For assembling, profiles being stacked do not need to be cut precisely, but precise measurement of every join position is necessary to obtain the desired perpendicularity between axes. Only metallic corner brackets were used for the Z axis; all other parts are printed. M5 nuts filed to fit in profile channels were used as T-nuts. The current configuration can accommodate up to a 200 x 200 bed with a single 2020 profile for the right Z axis, but a 214 x 214 bed does not fit. However, the configuration can be easily expanded. All STL files are available in a zip archive, along with a 3mf file for viewing the assembly in 3D. Some additional photos and videos are also available. 11.05.2020: A Y carriage has been added for a 214x214 (220x220) bed, but it has not been tested yet.
