The Lowry Pueblo National Historic Landmark sits within the Canyons of Ancients National Monument in the four corners region of America's Southwest. This region boasts an astonishing density of archaeological sites, with Canyons of the Ancients National Monument holding secrets of cultures and traditions spanning thousands of years. Sites within the monument boast cliff dwellings, single family homes, great kivas, multi-storey adobe buildings, shrines, rock paintings, petroglyphs, and towers. Today, twenty-four native tribes assert their cultural ties to Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. The Lowry Pueblo National Historic Landmark is a Puebloan "Great House" featuring thirty-seven rooms, eight kivas, and one Great Kiva. Experts have pinpointed the construction and occupation of the site to 100 years in the 11th Century; however, there's evidence that people continued to utilize the site well into the mid-1200s.
