Lowrider2 CNC - Z-Nut Stabilizer

Lowrider2 CNC - Z-Nut Stabilizer

thingiverse

I decided to strengthen my Lowrider2 CNC during construction by adding a stabilizing bracket for the Y-bottom section. This crucial component holds the Y-stepper and Z-nut in place, and I wanted to ensure it could withstand the weight of the gantry without bending or warping. If this part were to flex under load, it could lead to a tilt in the nut and increased friction on the leadscrew, ultimately affecting the machine's performance. To mitigate these potential issues, I designed an additional support system to secure the Y-bottom part firmly in place, providing stability and reliability throughout the build process.
