LOWRIDER MID SIXTIES STEP VAN SCALE 1/20

thingiverse

Mid-sixties Lowrider Chevy Step Van. One of my first attempt at a vehicle. It was for a contest back in the days... Note, update at the end. (Trailer and racing mower you'll see in picture are not included) -Functionnal sliding doors -Rear doors open -Multi parts for a real nice finished model -Sweet lowrider look -Low profile Tires -Pivoting seat(s) This is not perfectly acurate compared to the real one, but almost, and the rough dimensions of the original were respected. As it is now, its an almost perfect 1/20 scale and it fits perfectly on a regular Ender 3 bed size. You can print the body parts upright (as they are in the stl file if thingiverses didnt change them again! lol) or on their side if you dont wanna use supports. But the results are way better upright. *****All parts identified as "left" shall be mirrored in the slicer to obtain the right side***** I have included a 10 steps assembly guide. Pretty easy to assemble, all you will need are m3 screws. Approx Qty (i've lost my total, recounted them but once assembled but... sorry) 12x M3 screws, 5mm long (almost exclusively for the roof) 20x M3 screws, 8mm long 4x M3 screws, 20mm long (ideally black, they are for the axle of the wheels).. Or any screws you will have in you possession. Receiving holes are 2.8mm in diameter, so its a self-threading assembly no matter which screw you use (close to an m3 in diameter). Wood screws also work, and computer screws too. I have all kind of screws on mine. Everything can also be glued if you prefer. Note: On the first assembly step, you'll see the rear fender over the tires. DONT PUT THEM NOW! Only at the end, my mistake on the assembly guide. You will need this space to screw the top at the end, so dont put the fender nor the wheels at the beginning. I will be happy to support you with any questions or request. Hope you enjoy!! UPDATE: Holes for the rear bumper were too big, My mistake. For those who already print the truck, simply use m4 screws for the rear bumper, and make the holes in the bumper a little bit bigger to clear the screw. That's it. The files are now updated and uploaded with the correct hole size on the left side panel.
