When I power down my Lowrider 3 CNC (https://docs.v1engineering.com/lowrider/), the z axis stepper motors lose power and allow gravity to lower the gantry. Not wanting to accidentally break an endmill, I created these. When I'm done using the machine, I simply auto-home and snap these on the lead screws before powering down. This parks the Z high enough to keep the endmill off the bench, but low enough to home the z axis after booting up for the next job. Also handy when removing the gantry from the bench for storage or transportation.
