Custom Mount for Lowrance Hook2 7-Inch Fishfinder. This heavy-duty mount is engineered to drop into a large circular hole in your boat's dashboard. I designed this custom mount specifically for my Maxum 2400 SE, which had an unused JBL stereo remote control mounted in the same hole after its factory-installed head unit was replaced with a different brand. This new mount fits seamlessly into that existing hole, keeping the fishfinder out of the way yet still within easy view and reach. To ensure a secure installation, be sure to use high-quality stainless steel screens, locknuts, and washers for mounting both brackets to the arm. I recommend using oversized bolts with large washers in the center hole to pull the entire assembly tight against the dashboard. The ideal bolt diameter should be at least 3/8 inches, and it needs to be approximately three inches long to provide maximum stability and security.
