LowMow Under Cutter Antweight. ================== This was made as a CNC robot out of UHMWPE for strength as shown in the photos. However if printed in NylonX or similar this would still be highly competitive. You'd need to thicken parts in order for this to not destroy itself in other printed materials. Note - not free. Its cheap at $2 New Zealand. (~$1.44USD) - to try help cover my hosting fees and time exhausted on this stuff. Work in progress too - the more people interested in this the more I will keep improving the design. Printing: ---------------- Recommended 100% infill with 2mm walls! Sounds like overkill but trust me. Again this is recommended for CNC out of UHMWPE. Parts List: ---------------- Wheels - 34mm wheels. https://combatrobotics.co.nz/product/plastic-rubber-wheel-34mm/ Drive Motors - https://combatrobotics.co.nz/product/n20-dc-geared-motor-6v-1000rpm/ Weapons - 3mm Hardox custom. Titanium would be better. You can just mount a mini saw blade from any hardware store. Weapon Motor - DYS1806 2300kv (the lower 1400KV version is better if you can get it) Make sure you get the 4 bolt mount version to match the weapon hole patterns. Also the 3mm shaft versions are best, the 2mm shafts can shear. Fasteners - m3 for the weapon mounts. m2 for everything else. I would recommend tiny wood screws for the lid mounts. If you know where people can but them, please let me know so I can update this. Tail Magnet: 6mm round, 5mm tall magnet. eg https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001637480462.html Drive ESC/Receiver combo: - No good recommendations here. I use custom ESC's Link coming. DESC is an option from the UK. Assembly and Tips: --------------------------- - Space is very very tight!! Use a micro drive ESC and Receiver. Keep wires down to nothing! - There is no switch mount, make this up as you go. I use a removable pin jumper eg: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32873263301.html - If you can, make the motor mount lid out of G10 or metal so it doesn't flex. - The tail accepts a push fit magnet to keep stability in metal floor arena's. keep the magnet 0.05mm inside the tail so it doesn't hang you up too much. Glue it in there!. I'd recommend the weight even on wood, just to keep things stable. - Id recommend using threaded inserts, and m2 bolts for strength and so you dont wear out the thread in the body taking the lid off and on again!
