Lower mainsail trim for Volantex RG65

I have upgraded my Volantex RG65 with the DF65 A-rig sails, and it's definitely worth it! But I also found out that the mylar sails, not being in a textile material, are more sensitive to a less than perfect trimming. With mylar sails the top trim is no longer enough to have a perfect trim ...there's a reason the DF65 has a lower mainsail trim!I designed and made a first version with a classic eyeloop (that works quite fine and I'm currently using it, as shown on 1st pic) but I thought about a simpler design "v2" with a groove, where you just loop the dyneema cord around the main boom to do the same thing (as shown on the 2nd image) which should work just as fine, though I haven't tried it ... So it's up to you!
