Another crucial step in achieving flawless prints: ensuring your print bed is perfectly square. If it's not, you're essentially printing diamonds rather than squares - albeit with a subtle difference (check out Prusa Mesh Leveling on YouTube for more insight). To verify the squareness of your bed plates, slide a ruler between them and measure points A to A and B to B using the grub screws as a reference. If these measurements don't match up, it's likely that your lower frame is not square. At this point, you might need to remove the top plate and loosen the bearing blocks to avoid putting additional pressure on them during the squaring process. If points A are longer than they should be, attach the jig to the front side of your printer (at yellow points A) and tighten it slowly until your frame is square. Repeat this process for the B side by attaching the jig to the corresponding point. To create these adjustments, you'll need to 3D print the Mount Block, Pull Rod, and Pull Block. The Mount Block attaches closest to the gantry, while the Pull Block attaches closer to the front of the printer. For each side, use a Left or Right Pull Block depending on your perspective when facing the printer. Here are the required parts: * M3x5mm screws: 4 * M3x10mm screws: 1 * M3x30mm screws: 1 To assemble these components, attach the m3x10mm screw to the Mount Block and slide the m3x30mm through the Pull Block. Screw a few threads into the Pull Rod. Finally, insert the m3x5mm screws into both blocks to secure them to the frame. There's ample space in each block if you need to shorten the Pull Rod for other printer modifications.
