Lower Frame Led Mount & Catured Nut
thingiverse
After fooling around with the Peon230, I got in touch with Terra Firma and tweaked my design accordingly. With the original setup, I would have to take off some equipment to access the screws holding my arms in place. I came up with a reversal of the design and placed the nuts directly into the frame, allowing me to easily unscrew the damaged arm and replace it. To give you more guidance: Get your hands on some standard 3MM metal pieces and melt them into the frame for maximum stability. Ensure they're securely fastened and well-seated. I went with a longer 3MM screw and pushed it all the way through the frame. I then used a small blowtorch to heat it up for a few seconds, after which I carefully pulled the nut to the surface of the frame. Finally, I placed the nut face-down on the table, making sure it was perfectly flush with the top.
