Low strain Ikea Lack table filament grommet

Low strain Ikea Lack table filament grommet

If you construct a 3D printing enclosure using an Ikea Lack table or any other flat surface with a thickness of about 50mm, you will need to feed filament through a grommet. I discovered that the pre-existing ones were narrow tubes and offered no strain relief as the printer's tool moved from side to side. The narrowest part of the hole is 5mm, so it will work with filament up to 3mm in diameter. This design features a double funnel shape that allows for movement of the print tool as well as changes in spool winding diameter. A 3/4 inch hole (19mm) must be drilled for installation.
