Low rider filament roller

Low rider filament roller

I desperately required a very low filament roller for my Prima select 3D printer and its massive 2.3kg PETG roll. So I took matters into my own hands, designing one from scratch, and perhaps you're in the same boat, facing this exact problem. The nut and shims I had to enlarge by a significant margin of 108 percent using Prusa slicer software. Consequently, if you find yourself in the same predicament, you may need to adjust these dimensions accordingly. I opted for an infill percentage of at least 50%, but you can try going even higher if you want absolute certainty - I went all out with 100% just to be on the safe side. To achieve perfectly threaded results, I used a layer height of 0.1 millimeters. However, feel free to experiment with a slightly thicker layer height of 0.2 millimeters if you prefer.
