Low Rider Dial Indicator Mount - Duplicator i3
thingiverse
I tweaked the original design to fit larger holes and gaps, but my dial indicator's leg was too short to reach the bed. I customized it to work with my specific device, so if your dial indicator has a long enough leg, you can use the other mount available below. This one features a single 9.5mm hole, while the Fusion 360 source file is uploaded for anyone who wants to make adjustments. Don't rely solely on this mount for leveling; instead, I recommend using a feeler gauge or paper method to get it close, then fine-tune with this mount. Trust me, it'll save you a ton of time. This mount uses an M3x15-20mm bolt and M3 nut; I used 20mm bolts but 15mm should be sufficient. This mount is designed for dial indicators without the back plate mounting holes (for traditional use). If your dial indicator has the mounting holes on the back, there are many other great mounts available on Thingiverse. Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Maker Select v2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.16 Infill: 35% Notes: Resolution and infill aren't crucial; these are just the settings I used. Supports are recommended, though, not just from the build plate.
