Low Profile Tripod
thingiverse
I needed a compact, reliable, portable tripod for capturing low-angle shots and created this design to meet that requirement. Its ultra-lightweight construction makes it easy to carry, while precise micro-adjustments are facilitated by fine threads and a convenient slide-in design that fits neatly into the side pocket of my camera bag. This 3D printed model can be produced with any material at any layer height, but I recommend using three perimeters with a .4mm nozzle and at least 20% infill for added strength. The STL file provided is for a custom version body specifically designed to snap onto my K&F Concepts ball-head adapter, which I always carry in my camera bag attached to the camera. The standard model will work with any standard camera or DSLR featuring a bottom screw mount, and the 1/4"-20 thumb screw works well, though I suggest using a metal one for extra durability. Feel free to experiment with different combinations that suit your needs; I've printed and tested all parts and will be keeping the custom body, two 40mm bolts, two 80mm bolts, and the bolt organizer in my bag.
