Low Profile Fire Tablet Wall Mount

Low Profile Fire Tablet Wall Mount

thingiverse

This is my (hopefully) final iteration of a low profile wall mount for a Fire 7 tablet. It's designed to screw into existing 2-3 din electrical boxes and can be in either portrait or landscape. I use these tablets for my Home automation dashboards in various rooms of the house, for no other reason than they're cheap. You can use them with the stock FireOS if you'd like, just make sure to set the tablet to not turn off the screen when it's plugged in via the developer settings. Personally I prefer to load a different ROM on the device as I'm not a fan of FireOS, but you do you. --- There are STL files for 7th-8th Gen Fire 7 tablets, as well as 9th gen, which are slightly thinner. A beefier, thick body variant STL is included if you don't want to have to notch the drywall for the angled USB cable, (for example, if you're renting). Photos include the magnets used to attach/detach the face plate, where the drywall is notched for the flat USB cable, and examples of screws to use/not use.
