Low Polygon Mask easy breathing
thingiverse
This item is an open-mouthed low poly face mask ideal for Halloween or masquerade parties. Its design allows for ease of breathing, but it may cause sweating. Holes have been strategically placed for airflow and nasal passage clearance. A thin strip at each side provides room for an elastic headband that secures the mask snugly on your face. It has a 150mm x 150mm (6x6) print bed size compatibility. This popular mask made its TV debut on The Flash series! We'd like to thank xcasex for pointing this out and StormtrooperAimm for capturing it on screen. Background Story: I redesigned the original minimalex model, "Low Poly Mask Thinned", to accommodate my printrbot's printing capacity. However, upon wearing the reconstructed mask, some facial parts appeared too tight due to its narrow dimensions and reduced thickness in certain spots. In order to alleviate discomfort while maintaining comfort, breathing passages had been compromised as well. Therefore, I rebuilt it entirely using minimalex's model as a reference. Version 2 features expanded cheek and jaw dimensions to achieve improved face-fitting results and prevent any possible irritation from thin spots or sharp corners. This revision increases overall thickness up to 2mm in all areas, whereas its predecessor barely had that level in many sections. Now the eyes sit correctly instead of looking like they are narrowing with narrowed pupils as before - plus eyelashes sweeping on either side adds more personality! And now your mouth is set apart wide open showing a slight smile, so feel free to stick out tongue or move it any which way; its roomy space should ensure sufficient air reaches in without too much obstruction. Also worth mentioning is that an integrated clip lets you secure the band securely around your forehead with easy adjustment of its half inch wide part ensuring firm positioning and secure grip at all times! If Version 1 doesn't work well for your needs though, keep in mind Version 2 as I recommend upgrading to it because, quite logically so does since its an overhaul designed specifically keeping you in mind. It still stays small enough though with room on that tiny six by six inch printing plate size so nothing to be worried about space. Printing Setup: Raft Setting: No raft required! Supports Setting: No support required whatsoever, but if they show up somewhere do feel free and use any means necessary! Resolution Level: Opt for 0.2 millimeter settings Infill Percentage Fill level recommended to be set at a steady fifteen percent density. Post-Print Adjustments: Cutting hanging threads off should suffice depending on your filament material since some could potentially hang there quite obviously like those stray eyelashes but with softer PLA - it doesn't happen. So keep an eye out for it if you choose the latter as this isn't required if using it with harder stuff instead! Just take your time, print settings were as previously stated here in post-print info above.
